Death Is Not Dying!

May 14, 2009

Cancer is a disease that affects hundreds of thousands of people. Some live and are called survivors; others succumb and are called victims.  All suffer, and many have loved ones that suffer along with them. Hope is precious and hard to come by for most cancer patients.

Christ’s death was death itself losing its claim on those whom He died to redeem. The story of Rachel Barker serves as a beautiful, heart-wrenching reminder that Jesus’ victory on the cross is sufficient comfort for any Christian who is suffering as she is.  Her cancer is terminal, and her testimony is a precious legacy.  A video was recorded of a talk she gave to a women’s group, and Christ is glorious in her.  Watch the video, and praise our Father who give hope to the hopeless, and glorifies Himself in the weak things, the foolish things, and the painful things. He will wipe away every tear when He comes again to gather us to Himself forever.

Death is not dying – Hallelujah!
